echolink
@ PE1OTP
updated on January 3, 2005
The system is
located in Etten-Leur, the Netherlands, JO21FM.
My echolink node number is 27666
Here's how to use
it:
It's listening on
145.2375. Everything it receives there will be sent to the stations
connected to *DUTCH* conference. Everything that's being received by
one of the users on the conference will be broadcasted on 145.2375 also.
Click here for a block diagram (not
accurate anymore, need to work on that)
Click here for a photo of the hardware (yes, it
works better than it looks)
Click here for a schematic (thank you PE1RPH for the
nice drawing)
My system doesn't
accept other stations when I'm connected to the *DUTCH* conference.
Please use *DUTCH* as your node. Remember, the preferred language on
*DUTCH* is Dutch.

Why did I abandon
eQSO and make the change to echolink?
There are several reasons:
- Sound quality is much
better
- I'm able to use a
second soundcard, so I can connect some loudspeakers to my PC again
- It can be controlled
by DTMF
- It's easy, I didn't
have to make any hardware changes
